Paddleboard Yoga with Sadie
–
13 March 2026
We're running a paddleboard yoga session at Minsthorpe Pool with Sadie from Everyday with Sadie. If you've never tried yoga on a board before, it's a great way to work on skills that directly improve your paddling, or a great way to spend a friday evening doing something different!
Why Yoga for Paddlers?
Yoga isn't just about flexibility – it's seriously useful training for anyone who spends time on the water:
- Balance and stability – you'll develop the small adjustments and awareness that make a huge difference in rough water or when you're pushing your skills
- Core strength – proper yoga builds the deep muscles that actually power good stroke technique
- Flexibility – better range of motion means more efficient paddling and less chance of injury
- Breath control – techniques that help with endurance and staying calm when conditions get challenging
- Body awareness – you'll get better at knowing exactly what your body's doing, which translates to better boat control
Doing this on a paddleboard makes it directly relevant to what we do – it's functional training you can use straight away, whether you're in a kayak, canoe, or on a SUP.
