15th March - Lower Don River Trip

This is a short notice trip on the river Don from Kilnhurst to Mexborough

The River is Grade 1 so suitable for members with basic river experience

The Get on will be Hooton Road B6090 where the bridge crosses the river

We will meet 10:00 at Pastures Hotel on Pastures Road which will be the get out .

Kayakers and Canoeist will paddle down river to Mexborough where we move from the river to the canal at Mexborough Top Lock then down canal to Mexborough Bottom lock and then to Pastures Hotel for coffee.  Paddleboarder are welcome to join for the Canal section of the trip and can access Mexborough Top Lock via Ferryboat lane (Note parking is limited on Ferry Boat Lane Park on Church Street)
