Slenningford Summer Camp Weekend

We’re heading back to Sleningford Watermill for our summer weekend away. You don’t need to be camping to join in, this post is for anyone who wants to come along for the day, paddle with us, and stick around for some social time.

Camping from Friday

If you’re camping with us for the weekend, come and join us from Friday. No fixed plan for the evening, just get pitched up, get on the water for a mess about if you fancy it, then sit around the campsite with a few drinks and good company. A relaxed start to the weekend before the Saturday session below.

Saturday: the plan

Meet at 10am. We’ll have a relaxed paddle and mess about at the campsite. If there’s enough water about, the river might be runnable, otherwise we’ll have plenty to do on the flat water and the beach, including running the raids set up at the campsite. There may well be games too, so come ready for a fun, low-pressure day on and around the water.

Pizza at 4pm

Benito’s pizza oven is making a return. Pizza is free, get your favourite toppings ready and your orders in nearer the day. We’ll be firing it up at 4pm.

Stick around

After pizza, we’ll be relaxing around the campsite into the evening. No pressure to stay the whole time, join for the morning paddle, the pizza, the evening, or all of it. Whatever suits you.

Booking

Everyone needs to book in advance directly with the campsite, camping and day visits alike.
