Summer Camp at Sleningford Watermill July 2026

We're heading back to one of our all-time favourite spots for a summer weekend of paddling, swimming, and good company. Sleningford Watermill is a well-loved WYCC destination and we can't think of a better place to spend a July weekend.

The site is available from Friday evening — come for the full weekend or just join us for the days that suit you.

Depending on river levels, the Ure is suitable for everyone — whether you're in a kayak, on a paddleboard, or just want to splash about in the river with a cold drink in hand. The sunshine has been booked in advance.

On Saturday evening we'll be firing up the pizza oven for homemade pizzas around the camp — we'll have lots of toppings to choose from! (Let us know if you have any preferences!)

A place with history

Sleningford has been part of WYCC's story for many years — from regular club sessions and weekends to the legendary West Tanfield Slalom we used to run. Getting back there in our 70th year feels just right.
